Everything you need to know about neboctf platform, challenges, and how to get started.

neboctf is a hands-on Capture The Flag platform designed for cybersecurity training and skill development. Users can solve real-world challenges across categories like Web Security, Cryptography, Forensics, Reverse Engineering, and more. Each challenge requires finding a hidden "flag" (a secret string) that you submit to earn points and climb the leaderboard.
No prior experience is required! neboctf offers challenges for all skill levels, from beginner to advanced. Each challenge is tagged with a difficulty level (Easy, Medium, Hard), and beginners can start with easy challenges that include hints and learning resources to guide you through the process.
Flags are validated using secure SHA-256 hashing. Most flags follow the format CTF{...}, but some challenges may use different formats which are clearly stated in the challenge description. You'll receive immediate feedback when you submit a flag - either a success message or an error indicating the flag is incorrect.
Currently, neboctf supports individual accounts. Each user has their own profile, score, and position on the leaderboard. Team functionality may be added in future updates. However, you can still collaborate with others informally while learning and solving challenges.
To ensure fair play and prevent abuse, flag submissions are rate-limited. You can submit flags multiple times, but there's a cooldown period between submissions. Once you successfully submit the correct flag for a challenge, you cannot submit flags for that same challenge again - your solve is recorded and points are awarded.
New challenges are released weekly by our admin team. We maintain a diverse library of challenges across all categories, ensuring there's always fresh content for users at every skill level. You can follow our updates and announcements for information about new challenge releases.
You can reset your password using the "Forgot Password" link on the login page. You'll receive an email with instructions to create a new password. Make sure to verify your email address when you first register, as this is required for account recovery and important platform notifications.
Currently, neboctf is focused on skill development and learning. While there are no monetary prizes, you'll gain valuable hands-on cybersecurity experience and can showcase your achievements through your profile and leaderboard position. Certificates and achievement badges are planned features for future releases.
